CPS Energy’s offices, customer service centers, and call centers will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day. The generation of energy to provide us with light, heat and other modern conveniences is often overlooked. Our customers get power from multiple sources including:
Natural gas – A clean-burning fuel with no sulfur dioxide emissions
Nuclear energy – Environmentally and economically friendly, CPS Energy owns 40% of the South Texas Project in Bay City, Texas.
Coal – An abundant and affordable power source.
Renewable energy – We leverage and continue to grow our use of several renewable energy resources: wind power, solar power and landfill gas.
Don't forget energy efficiency, or conservation! We offer a number of programs for residents and businesses to lower their energy bill and reduce community energy consumption.
